Things to see and do

Chateau de Rochechouart
The impressive Renaissance château at Rochechouart
The rural countryside of the Limousin region provides the beauty and tranquillity of those seeking a peaceful and rewarding holiday for the whole family.
The village of Babaudus is just a short drive from several lakes where one can fish, swim sail and paddle or just bask in the sun after a delicious meal at one of the several cafes, or picnic by the waterside.
Many walking trails and cycle tracks meander through rich undulating farmland, home for   grazing Limousin cattle and through forests bursting with wildflowers and native fruits in springtime.
Rochechouart , the nearby town, invites you into its beautiful and Historic Chateau which in recent years has been sympathetically restored and is home to the Museum of Contemporary Art.
Located in the centre (rue Jean Parvy) is the Paul Pellas Meteorite space.
A broad presentation of the Rochechouart meteorite and the cataclysm produced during its impact some 200 million years ago including the history, rock samples and video presentation is offered.
Many historic sites and tourist attractions are just a short driving distance from Ty Mirabelle in Babaudus. Five minutes away, the tourist office in Rochechouart with its friendly staff, can provide assistance with information to make your holiday time in the Limousin a lasting memory.
Other places within easy reach include Limoges, and the memorial village of Oradour-sur-Glane, left in the state it was abandoned in after the SS atrocities committed in 1944.
