Located between Poitiers and Niort, la Rivaudière lies in the heart of an area famed for both its historic heritage and its great outdoors.    Poitiers, the Futuroscope theme park, the Valley of the Apes wildlife park, Cognac, La Rochelle, La Venise Verte, beautiful chateaux and many more attractions are all within easy reach. The Poitou-Charentes area is second only to Provence as the sunniest place in France!

This is a perfect location for simply relaxing or trying a new sport. Activities nearby include golf, tennis, cycling, horse riding, fishing, canoeing and many more. There are leisure lakes with flumes nearby and wildlife parks to visit. The nearest beaches are approx. 1hr 15 minutes away. Chatelaillon Plage near La Rochelle has sandy beaches, shops restaurants and a daily market. L’Ile de Re is also well worth a visit.

This is also a perfect place for golfers! The nearest course is 2 Km away and is a 27 hole course suitable for beginners to club players. The restaurant is open during the day and evening from April to October.
